Flahute carefully imports a limited quantity of carbon racing frames from the world’s leading carbon bicycle factories in coastal China. Flahute’s road and TT frames are produced by X-space, a high tech composites factory. X-pace supplies racing to frames the highest profile bicycle companies in the world, who tend to obscure these origins from consumers. X-Pace has invested millions in carbon fiber tooling and layup a technology to produce state-of-the-art bicycle racing frames.
Teams and individuals interested in purchasing a Flahute directly, are encouraged to visit the Flahute facebook site to learn more about the 2011 line: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Flahute-Carbon-Bikes/169243219763715
Tech Sheet: Model– Road
Frame Material: Toray High Modulus Carbon Fiber, 12K Weave
Sizes: Extra Small(52) Medium(54), Med-Large (56),Large(58), XL(60)
Frame: Weight: 950 gram for Medium
Fork Weight: 400 grams (uncut)
Features:
Oversized BB30 Bottom Bracket System: Currently BB30 is the emerging standard in bottom bracket, bearing and crank set technology, based on oversized direct-fit, pressed-in bearings and a large hollow 30 mm bottom bracket spindle which saves weight and eliminates the need for the cups used in outboard BB systems. The larger diameter BB30 bearing offers superior wear characteristics less friction. BB30 system allows for improved power transfer by increasing the torsional rigidity which counters twisting loads from the cranks and is a tangible advantage while climbing or sprinting.
Integrated ISP Seatmast System: The aerodynamic integrated seat mast also uses a lighter, thinner tube and dispenses with extra material in the seatclamp area which provide superior strength than conventional seatposts.
Low profile Rear Stays: High strength small diameter cylindrical stays provide more vertical compliance to absorb bumps and road vibrations for smoother ride than conventional seat stays- without sacrificing torsional rigidity or power transfer; for demanding racing and training conditions.
Internal Cable Routing of Rear Brake: Smoother Cable route and improved aerodynamics
Asymetric headtube and Fork Diamete: A tapered head tube and fork system offer a wider reinforced fork crown area which accomoatess 1 ½” bearings for extra maximum torsional stiffness and strength which results in precise steering, extra control and power transfer while sprinting and climbing. The fork and headtube taper to 1 1/8” diameter at the the top, where forces are less concentrated.
Advanced Carbon Fiber Layup: Using raw and processed Toray carbon fiber strands and weaves, our supplier’s layup process assures eliminates inner wrinkling of fiber matte resulting which reduce weights. Because the front triangle is moulded at one time, the agglutination position occurs in the moulding process, not with machine work- which avoids breaking the fibres. Using our supplier’s stairway agglutination process, the agglutination surface is larger, distributing the resin and fiber material in the carbon fiber joints evenly thus avoiding the concentration of stresses in any one area.

Three Seat Positions: The ISP Seatpost has three seatclamp positions allowing the rider to select a very forward triathlon position or a more moderate time trialing positions.
